Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Bannatyne Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:46 p.m. on June 5, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-and-a-half storey house in the 500 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke and flames coming from the house and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 2:20 p.m.

Crews completed a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
