Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Sandylands Place

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a house on Sandylands Place.

At the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire with a defensive strategy until conditions improved and they could switch to an offensive strategy. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 11:37 p.m.

All occupants safely self-evacuated from the house and no injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
