Short closure coming to Dakota-St. Mary’s intersection

Released: June 19, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

We are closing a portion of Dakota Street Monday night (June 22) to accommodate paving work.

Northbound Dakota will close fully at Beliveau Road starting at 7 p.m.

Southbound traffic on Dakota south of the St. Mary’s intersection will not be affected.

During the closure:

  • There will be no through traffic from southbound Dunkirk onto Dakota (across St. Mary's)
  • Vehicles travelling south on Dunkirk Drive will need to turn right onto St. Mary's Road at the intersection
  • There will be no left turns from southbound Dunkirk onto northbound St. Mary’s
  • There will be no left turns from southbound St. Mary’s onto Dakota
  • There will be no left turns from northbound St. Mary’s onto Dunkirk

We expect to open all traffic at 11 p.m. Monday night.
