Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Greenwood Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 5:53 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 300 block of Greenwood Avenue. At the scene, crews found smoke and flames coming from the house.

Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control at 6:52 p.m. Paramedics transported one person to hospital in stable condition.

No injuries were reported. Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental and related to the home’s electrical system. No damage estimates are available.
