Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Trent Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 8:20 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey house in the 300 block of Trent Avenue.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Firefighters entered the house and launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 9:13 p.m.

Crews searched the house and located one individual. The person was declared deceased at the scene.

The fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
