Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Ross Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:04 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey apartment building in the 600 block of Ross Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews found smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters entered the building and launched an interior fire attack. They declared the fire under control at 6:41 p.m., with damages contained to the suite where the fire originated.

All occupants of the building self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. Paramedics assessed two people and transported them to hospital in stable condition.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
