Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fires on Magnus Avenue and Elizabeth Road

Winnipeg, MB – Last night, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires. 

Magnus Avenue 

At 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, WFPS responded to a fire in a triplex in the 300 block of Magnus Avenue. 

At the scene, crews saw flames and smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control at 8:56 p.m. 

No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available. 

Elizabeth Road 

At 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in an apartment in the 700 block of Elizabeth Road. 

Firefighters found smoke coming from the building when they arrived. Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control at 10:28 p.m. 

Winnipeg Transit responded to provide a bus for temporary shelter for evacuated residents. Paramedics assessed one patient, and they did not need transportation to the hospital. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
