Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Bannatyne Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 4:03 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a-half storey, multi-family residence in the 800 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the building. Firefighters initially launched a defensive fire attack. Once it was safer, they entered the building and transitioned to an interior fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 5:20 p.m.

All occupants of the building evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. One individual was assessed by paramedics at the scene and transported to hospital in stable condition.

The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team was activated, providing temporary support for displaced residents.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
