Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Sherburn Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:23 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 1000 block of Sherburn Street.

At the scene, crews saw smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, switching between offensive and defensive attacks as conditions changed. They declared the fire under control at 3:14 a.m.

Paramedics assessed one firefighter on scene and transported them to hospital in stable condition.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
