Downtown roadways to close as CEBL championship weekend opens

Winnipeg, MB – Traffic changes are coming to a number of downtown streets to accommodate the Canadian Elite Basketball League championship weekend celebrations.

Changes are in place from 9 a.m. Thursday, August 21 through noon on Monday, August 25.  

They are:

  • Hargrave Street
    • No through traffic from St. Mary Avenue to Portage Avenue
    • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from St. Mary and Portage
  • Carlton Street
    • No through traffic from Portage Avenue to St. Mary Avenue
    • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from both Portage and St. Mary
  • Edmonton Street
    • No through traffic from St. Mary to Portage
    • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from both St. Mary and Portage
  • Graham Avenue
    • Full closure between Edmonton and Donald Street
