Winnipeg, MB – At 1:04 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single-family house in the 800 block of Dudley Avenue.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. They deployed a Flameguard X-Tinguish Fire Suppression Tool (FST). The aerosol device generates a mist that helps to suppress flames and reduce temperatures to allow for safer access.
Crews were able to enter the house and fight the fire from the interior. The fire was declared under control at 1:36 a.m.
All occupants of the house safely evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported.
Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by an electrical failure in a light.
Damage estimates are not available.
