Closures of Abinojii Mikanah start tonight

Winnipeg, MB – A series of overnight closures is coming to the intersection of Abinojii Mikinah and St. Mary’s Road.

These closures will allow overnight paving operations at the intersection. Traffic impacts are as follows:

July 22, 23, 24 (6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly)

  • Only one lane open in each direction of Abinojii Mikanah
  • Left turn lanes onto St. Mary’s reduced to one lane in both directions
  • Modifications of right turns onto Abinojii Mikanah with yields or detours around pedestrian islands

July 25 (6 p.m. to 6 a.m. onto July 26)

  • No left turns from either direction of St. Mary’s onto Abinojii Mikanah
  • No through traffic on St. Mary’s at Abinojii Mikanah
  • No left turns from either direction of Abinojii Mikanah onto St. Mary’s
  • Only one lane open in each direction of Abinojii Mikanah

July 26, 27 (4 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly) 

  • No traffic across the intersection in any direction
  • No left turns in any direction
  • Right turns only for all four directions of traffic

July 28 (6 p.m. to 6 a.m. onto July 29)

  • No traffic across the intersection in any direction
  • No left turns in any direction
  • Right turns only for all four directions of traffic

We expect to reopen the intersection by 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 29.
