Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Bannatyne Avenue

Released: July 21, 2025 at 3 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:42 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.  Firefighters used a defensive attack until conditions changed and they could use an interior offensive attack.

Firefighters searched the building to ensure there was no one inside. Firefighters declared the fire under control by 10:24 a.m. No injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
