Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Boyd Avenue

Released: July 7, 2025 at 6 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey residence in the 700 block of Boyd Avenue.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the building. They entered and fought the fire from the interior, declaring the fire under control at 1:22 p.m.

Firefighters assisted two occupants in evacuating the building. No injuries were reported. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team was activated to provide temporary support to the displaced residents.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
