Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Ross Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:55 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 500 block of Ross Avenue.

At the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house and a neighbouring house. Firefighters attacked the fire, switching between defensive and offensive attacks until they declared the fire under control at 12:46 a.m.

Everyone got out of the houses safely before crews arrived. No injuries were reported. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene, providing temporary support for displaced residents.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available, but both houses were damaged by fire, smoke, and water.
