Winnipeg, MB – At 4:24 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey residence in the 400 block of Magnus Avenue.
When crews arrived to the location, they found smoke coming from the house. They launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 4:42 a.m.
Firefighters completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation.
The structure sustained significant smoke, fire and water damage in today’s fire. It was previously damaged by a fire in April 2025.
Anyone who sees someone actively entering a vacant building, or removing boards from windows or doors from a building, should call 911 to report the incident immediately.
If you notice boarded windows or doors that have been breached, but you do not see someone actively entering or trying to enter the building, report the incident to 311 by phone or online.
