Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Strathcona Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 5:12 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 900 block of Strathcona Street.

At the scene, crews found a smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 6:08 p.m.

Paramedics transported one person to hospital in stable condition. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to provide temporary help to displaced residents.

The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
