Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two fires overnight.
Sherbrook Street fire
At 11:32 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, the WFPS responded reports of a fire in a two-storey house in the 400 block of Sherbrook Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they found flames coming from the house. They launched an offensive fire attack, quickly declaring the fire under control at 11:50 p.m.
There were no occupants in the house at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
Panet Road fire
At 3:28 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, WFPS crews responded to reports of a fire and a medical emergency at an industrial facility in the 0 to 100 block of Panet Road.
Upon arrival at the location, crews found a small fire which was quickly extinguished.
Two individuals working at the facility were injured. They were assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene. One was transported to hospital in unstable condition and the other was transported in stable condition.
The fire is under investigation but believed to be accidental.
