Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fires on Ross Avenue and Pritchard Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – Since last night, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires.

Ross Avenue

At 10:20 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 500 block of Ross Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 11:22 p.m. Crews searched the house and no occupants were located. No one reported any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.

Pritchard Avenue

At 8:05 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a one-storey house in the 1500 block of Pritchard Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw heavy smoke coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 8:54 a.m. Crews searched the house and no occupants were located. No one reported any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available.
