Winnipeg, MB – At 3:14 a.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey house in the 200 block of Roger Street.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. They entered and fought the fire from the interior of the house. The fire was declared under control at 3:37 a.m.
All occupants of the house safely self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported.
Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by an electrical malfunction.
