Winnipeg, MB – At 10:05 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a one-and-a-half storey, single-family house in the 500 block of Victor Street.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. They entered and fought the fire from inside, declaring the fire under control at 10:22 p.m.
All occupants of the house safely self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported. The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to provide temporary support to the displaced residents.
Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by a malfunctioning bathroom exhaust fan.
No damage estimates are available at this time.
