Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Horace Street

Released: January 22, 2025 at 1 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:09 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a single-family bungalow in the 400 block of Horace Street.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. They launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 9:27 a.m.

There were no people in the house at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported. Firefighters located a dog in the house and brought it to safety.

Preliminary observations suggest the fire was accidental. Damage estimates are not available.
