Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fires on Keewatin Street and Disraeli Freeway

Winnipeg, MB – Since last night, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires.

Keewatin Street

At 10:24 p.m. on December 31, 2024, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a commercial building in the 900 block of Keewatin Street.

At the scene, firefighters attacked the fire from inside the building, declaring it under control at 10:40 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.

Disraeli Freeway

At 5:49 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a community resource building in the 200 block of the Disraeli Freeway.

At the scene, firefighters attacked the fire, declaring it under control at 6:06 a.m.

No injuries were reported. No damage estimates are available. The fire is under investigation.
