Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Riverside Drive

Released: December 14, 2024 at 9 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:58 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey house in the 0-100 block of Riverside Drive.

At the scene, firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire from outside the house until they could enter the house, complete a search, and attack the fire from inside the house.

Paramedics transported two patients to hospital in critical condition.

Firefighters declared the fire under control at 1:18 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
