Winnipeg, MB – At 6 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at an unoccupied single-storey house in the 800 block of Pritchard Avenue.
Smoke was coming from the structure and the fire was well involved when crews arrived on scene. They launched an offensive fire attack and used water to put the fire out. It was declared under control at 6:39 a.m.
Firefighters completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The structure suffered fire, smoke and water damage. Damage estimates are not available.
WFPS’ Accelerant Detection K9 assisted fire investigators at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
