Outdoor aquatic facility closures begin next week

Staggered closures will take place between August 14 and September 2

Winnipeg, MB – City-operated wading pools, outdoor pools, and spray pads are set to close in the coming weeks.

Outdoor pools

The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Friday, August 30, 2024:

  • Fort Garry Lions
  • Provencher
  • Windsor Park

The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Monday, September 2, 2024:

  • Freight House
  • Kildonan Park
  • St. Vital
  • Transcona Aquatic Park
  • Westdale

Wading pools

Most of the City’s wading pools plan to close between August 14 and August 23, 2024; however, the following six wading pools plan to remain open until end-of-day Monday, September 2, 2024:

  • Central Park
  • Dakota Park
  • Ducharme Park
  • Keenleyside Park
  • Machray Park
  • McKittrick Park

Spray pads
