Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Redwood Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:21 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey house in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. They launched a fire attack inside the house and declared the fire under control at 7:03 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
