Outdoor aquatic facility closures begin next week

Staggered closures will take place between August 15 and September 4

Winnipeg, MB – City-operated wading pools, outdoor pools, and spray pads are set to close in the coming weeks.

Outdoor pools
The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Friday, September 1, 2023:

  • Happyland
  • Windsor Park
  • Provencher

Fort Garry Lions is planned to be open until end-of-day Sunday, September 3, 2023.

The following outdoor pools are planned to be open until end-of-day Monday, September 4, 2023:

  • Freight House
  • Kildonan Park
  • St. Vital
  • Transcona Aquatic Park
  • Westdale

Wading pools
Most of the City’s wading pools plan to close between August 15 and August 25, 2023; however, the following six wading pools plan to remain open until end-of-day Monday, September 4, 2023:

  • Central Park
  • Dakota Park
  • Ducharme Park
  • Keenleyside Park
  • McKittrick Park
  • St. John’s Park

Spray pads
