City crews ready to respond to more snow

Winnipeg, MB - City crews are ready to respond to the snow that is forecasted for the city today and overnight. Crews are monitoring road conditions and will apply winter ice control materials to improve traction. Based on the amount of snow and overnight temperatures, plowing will begin if warranted.

Sanding and plowing efforts will initially focus on main routes (Priority 1) and then bus routes and collector streets (Priority 2).

Parking Ban
Only the regular Annual Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect at this time, meaning parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on streets displaying “Snow Route” signs.

Stay Back, Stay Safe
Motorists are urged to drive to road conditions, and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.
