Released: December 17, 2015 at 10:46 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Starting December 19, 2015, City of Winnipeg Animal Services Officers will be visiting City parks to talk to Winnipeggers about responsible pet ownership, and to hand out dog treats and educational materials.

"Our goal is to make sure that all pet owners know and understand the Responsible Pet Ownership By-law, said Leland Gordon, Chief Operating Officer of the Animal Services Agency. We're excited to head out to City parks to hand out dog treats, meet some local pet owners, and chat about the importance of being a responsible pet owner.

If you see Animal Services Officers in City parks over the holidays, feel free to go over and say hi - they would love to meet you and your pet!
