Released: February 24, 2015 at 2:03 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Today, Councillor Marty Morantz, Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Finance announced that the Preliminary 2015 Operating and Capital Budgets will be tabled at a special meeting of Executive Policy Committee on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015.

“As the Chair of Finance, I am pleased to announce that deliberations for the Preliminary 2015 operating and capital budgets have been completed and the documents are currently in the process of being finalized, to be presented to citizens and tabled next week,” said Councillor Marty Morantz. “There’s no doubt that creating a budget that is balanced, thoughtful and that provides strategic solutions in such a short timeframe - between the civic election and the provincially legislated deadline to pass a balanced budget - was an incredible undertaking and challenge.
