Louise Bridge closure extended

Released: May 30, 2025 at 1:22 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The current Louise Bridge closure has been extended to accommodate additional repairs.

We closed the bridge on May 23, 2025, for its annual inspection and maintenance. The inspection uncovered corrosion that must be fixed before the bridge can re-open.

We anticipate this work to be completed by the end of July.

We encourage drivers to plan alternate routes, such as the Disraeli Bridge or Provencher Bridge, and allow for additional travel time.

Louise Bridge remains open to pedestrians and cyclists. That access may be removed intermittently to accommodate crews and specific work.
