
In Winnipeg’s 150th year, Canada Day events are taking place across the city. Here’s what to expect for transit service to three of the biggest.
Canada Day at Princess Auto Stadium
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Princess Auto are hosting this new celebration on Canada Day. This family friendly event includes a tailgate celebration from noon to 7 p.m. outside the stadium. Mainstage entertainment in the stadium takes place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Winnipeg Transit is operating an enhanced regular holiday schedule on Canada Day. Available extra buses will operate as needed on the BLUE rapid transit line between Stadium Station and Seel Station. Regular transit fares apply.
Winnipeg 150 shuttle between The Forks and Assiniboine Park
There’s no need to decide between family friendly activities at Canada Day at The Forks and Party at the Park . You can take the free Winnipeg 150 shuttle between The Forks and Assiniboine Park to enjoy what both events have to offer.
The Winnipeg 150 shuttle will depart in each direction approximately once every half hour between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Passengers at Assiniboine Park can cross the foot bridge to catch the shuttle on eastbound Portage Avenue at Overdale Street. At The Forks, the shuttle will stop at northbound Israel Asper Way, in front of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The shuttle will not stop between the two locations.
