Selection of various anti-racism books, recommended by Winnipeg Public Library

We know systemic racism exists in our society. Books are one way we can better understand racism and how we can work towards eliminating it.

In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination against Racism on March 21, the Winnipeg Public Library has put together some book suggestions for you and the young ones in your life.

“We curated this list to help Winnipeggers learn about the forms of racism, racial privilege, and what it means to be anti-racist,” said Irmy Nikkel, Administrative Coordinator of Collections & Borrower Services.

“Whether you want to deepen your understanding, or help teach your children, there is something for everyone.”

You can find the complete list of staff picks in the Winnipeg Public Library’s collection.
