The funding, which is being distributed through the Major Cities Stream of the program, will be used to enhance the delivery of affordable housing units that support vulnerable people and populations in Winnipeg.

  • Support women and/or women and children, particularly Indigenous women and children;
  • Serve priority populations including people experiencing homelessness;
  • Development site has already been secured;

  • Acquisition of land and construction of modular and traditionally constructed housing;
  • Acquisition of land and existing buildings for the purpose of conversion from non-residential to residential use;
  • Acquisition of land and rehabilitation of existing vacant/derelict housing.
