By-law No. 1 of the Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation, as amended.

The Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation was first approved to be established by Council on June 1, 1977 (See Minute No. 1137). It was incorporated January 27, 1978.  Amendment to By-law No. 1 was approved by Council on January 24, 1996.

Composition

Minimum of 9 and maximum of 11:

  • 3 members of Council (one of which is the Chairperson of the Standing Policy Committee on Property and Development)
  • 1 representative from the City’s finance or development area
  • 1 representative from The Manitoba Home Builders Association (appointed by the Association)
  • 1 representative from The Social Planning Council (appointed by the Social Planning Council)
  • 1 representative from the Province of Manitoba (appointed by the province)
  • 1 representative in the finance or real estate industry (appointed by the Directors)
  • 1 representative in the education community (appointed by the Directors)
  • 1 representative who has Indigenous or Metis background or became a permanent resident or Canadian citizen within the last 10 years(appointed by the Directors)
  • 1 member at large (appointed by the Directors)
