4R Winnipeg Depots returning to regular operating hours November 7

Winnipeg, MB – Curbside yard waste collection for 2019 is coming to an end.

  • Yard waste collection in “area A” will end the week of November 12-16, 2019
  • Yard waste collection in “area B” will end the week of November 18-22, 2019

Residents can find out if their yard waste collection is “area A” or “area B” by:

Yard waste is collected at the curb once every two weeks during the collection period, on the same collection day as recycling and garbage. Residents can put their yard waste in:

  • Any reusable container without a lid (e.g., plastic tubs, old blue boxes, old metal or plastic garbage containers). Containers should not be broken or damaged.
  • Cardboard boxes
  • Paper yard waste bags

Residents are reminded to place their yard waste containers to the side of their recycling and garbage carts, and to leave an arm’s length between their yard waste containers and their recycling and garbage carts. Do not rake any yard waste material or debris onto the street as this can plug the street drains and cause ponding problems as well as increase the risk of basement flooding.
