At 1:15 a.m. on May 27, 2019, the WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey industrial building in the 2000 block of Logan Avenue. Upon arrival on scene crews encountered heavy black smoke coming from the structure. Crews initially deployed a defensive strategy but after venting some of the smoke, were able to transition to an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 2:43 a.m.
Crews completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The origin of the fire was determined to be from a vehicle parked inside the structure. The cause of the fire will be under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
