Do I need to have my Gas Fireplace Inspected/Tested/Serviced?
  • Gas fire places are required to be inspected annually in all occupancies other than one- or two-family dwellings.
Who can service my Fireplace?
  • Service providers for Gas fireplaces are required to have a license with the Winnipeg Fire Department and a Gas Fitters license issued by the Province of Manitoba.
If I do not use it, do I still have to have it Inspected/Tested/Serviced
  • Yes.
