August 24, 2018 - City of Winnipeg outdoor aquatics facilities are beginning to close for the season, but just before they close, the City is inviting the public to bring their licensed dogs for a swim at two wading pools.
August 24, 2018 - The public is advised that northbound and southbound Memorial Boulevard from York Avenue to St. Mary Avenue will be temporarily closed this Sunday, August 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. for the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Convention Parade and Remembrance Ceremony.
August 22, 2018 - At approximately 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire at a residence in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue.
August 21, 2018 - At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire at a residential duplex in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.
August 17, 2018 - Northbound Fort Street from St. Mary Avenue to Portage Avenue will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, August 18 until midnight on Sunday, August 19 for the installation of a tower crane.
August 15, 2018 - At 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire at 702 Selkirk Avenue.
August 14, 2018 - Residents of Winnipeg have a new spot to beat the heat this summer, as the new Valley Gardens Community Centre at 218 Antrim Road spray pad was officially opened.
August 10, 2018 - The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) training academy welcomed 11 newcomer youth this week as part of their Equity and Diversity Camp.

August 3, 2018 - Today, along with representatives of key community organizations, Mayor Brian Bowman provided an update on efforts to address and reduce the occurrence of unsafe panhandling along with short-term actions and long-term goals. Unsafe Panhandling is defined as panhandling that is occurring along boulevards and amongst traffic.
