Winnipeg 150 Community Celebration Grant

Congratulations to the recipients of the Winnipeg 150 Community Celebration Grant. We chose twelve community organizations to receive funding to help highlight the history and future of Winnipeg in their programming through music, performances, festivals, and exhibits:

  • Children’s Hospital Foundation for the Teddy Bear Picnic - $5,000
  • Conseil jeunesse provincial Inc. for the Grand rassemblement - $5,000
  • Culture Days Manitoba for Nuit Blanche - $5,000
  • Folklorama Festival for its kick-off - $5,000
  • Manitoba Chamber Orchestra for its community concerts - $5,000
  • MEMETIC for its Indigenous Electronic Music Showcase - $2,000
  • Pride Winnipeg Festival - $2,500
  • Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre for the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival - $5,000
  • Soca Reggae Festival - $5,000
  • Storefront Manitoba for the Winnipeg Design Festival - $5,000
  • Winnipeg Folk Festival - $3,000
  • Winnipeg International Children’s Festival - $2,500

Existing festivals, events, museums, and other organizations who operate within Winnipeg and incorporate the Winnipeg 150 theme: Our shared stories. Our shared future. into their 2024 programming could apply for grants of up to $5,000. We received more than 250 applications. Funding for the grants was subject to Council’s approval of the 2024-2027 multi-year budget.
