WINNIPEG - December 27, 2006 - A male Sichuan Takin, one of the world's rarest and strangest-looking members of the cattle family, is now on display at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. The Assiniboine Park Zoo has been selected to receive a captive-born pair from the Minnesota Zoo as part of a special breeding program to help save this endangered species.

Residential Overnight Parking Ban declared effective midnight tonight
WINNIPEG - December 12, 2006 - Residential plowing will begin tonight at 7:00 p.m. To aid clearing of residential streets, the Residential Overnight Parking Ban has been declared effective midnight tonight. This ban prohibits parking, between midnight and 6:00 a.m., on all streets not designated as Snow Routes.
