City Reminds Winnipeg Residents About the Upcoming Public Meeting to Consider Building a Water Treatment Plant
October 18, 1999 - The Executive Policy Committee (EPC) reminds Winnipeg residents about the upcoming special meetings to consider the need for a water treatment plant for Winnipeg's water supply. Public opinion will assist EPC in providing a recommendation to City Council on whether or not to proceed with the construction of a water treatment plant.

1999 "Leaf it With Us" Program
October 1, 1999 - The Water and Waste Department (Solid Waste Division) and the Public Works Department (Parks and Open Spaces Division) will again be jointly providing drop-off depots for residents to bring their bagged leaves. The nine sites are located around the City in four regional parks, three community centres and one civic parking lot, plus the Brady Road Landfill.
