The Community Services Department delivers integrated neighbourhood services that build community capacity and contribute toward the protection of our public health, safety and environment, and to provide for the diverse cultural, recreational, knowledge pursuit, and information needs of the citizens of Winnipeg.

	Animal Services The Animal Services Agency provides animal control measures under the City of Winnipeg Charter and related by-laws.
	Property and Neighbourhood Standards Properties must be maintained so as to prevent the existence of objects and conditions that pose health, safety, fire or accident hazards to people, animals or neighbouring properties.
	French Language Services The City of Winnipeg recognizes the importance of providing French language services to its residents and believes that being seen as a bilingual city serves as an important means to stimulate investment from local, national and international businesses who view the use of the two official languages as an important asset to the city of Winnipeg as a whole.
	Health Inspections The City of Winnipeg is responsible for conducting health inspections in the inner-city area for Restaurants , Food Service, Pools, Daycares, Resident Care Facilities, and Housing
	Winnipeg Public Library Services Winnipeg Public Library offers over 1.6 million books, magazines, music and movies to borrow from our 20 branches. We also offer eBooks, music, research for home, work or study and our online catalogue at winnipeg.ca/library. Browse our programs in our @ The Library magazine for all ages - for free. From concerts and lectures, to workshops, computer classes, story time and literacy programs - we have it all.
