Drug Trafficking – Arrest: C21-295811

Released: December 21, 2021 at 8 a.m.

On December 21, 2021, shortly after midnight, officers from the Central District’s Community Support Unit conducted a traffic stop in a back lane of Wellington Avenue, near Simcoe Street.

Identification checks confirmed that the driver was breaching his curfew conditions and was placed under arrest. A subsequent search of the accused revealed the following items:
- 44 grams of cocaine (estimated street value of $3,000)
- drug paraphernalia
- cell phone
- shotgun shell (possession contrary to a court order)

Joseph Conrad LAVALLEE, 34, of Winnipeg, was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order x 3.

He was detained in custody.
