Declared Snow Route Parking Ban begins Sunday night at midnight

Residential Parking Ban to commence later this week

WINNIPEG, MB - To aid snow clearing efforts on major routes, the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban will be in effect tomorrow night at midnight (Monday, January 14 at 12:00 a.m.). This ban prohibits parking on any Snow Route between the hours of midnight and 7:00 a.m. Vehicles parked in violation of the Declared Parking Ban will receive a $100 ticket ($50 if paid early), and may be towed to the towing company’s compound. The ban will be in place until plowing is completed and the public will be notified when the Declared Parking Ban is lifted.

The public will be advised when the ban has been lifted.

Residential Parking Ban

A Residential Parking Ban will be declared after the plow operation is completed on main routes, bus routes and collector streets. The public will be advised on Monday, January 14 when the Residential Parking Ban will go into effect.

Residents who live on a street designated as a P3 are reminded to visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or call 311 to confirm their residential snow zone letter of the alphabet, and to determine when their snow zone is scheduled to be plowed. The public is also encouraged to sign up in advance for email or Twitter notifications through knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca to find out when designated snow zones are scheduled for plowing.

The public is reminded to visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or contact 311, 24 open hours a day by calling 311 or email at 311@winnipeg.ca to find out what bans are in place.
