Bulletin #4: City of Winnipeg weather related service updates

La présente page n’a pas été traduite. Veuillez consulter la version anglaise ci-dessous.

Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg continues to encourage residents to limit travel to essential trips only. Sunday’s weather event brought approximately 23 cm of snow along with high winds into Boxing Day. Majority of snow fell in an eight-hour window. High winds produced major drifting. Residential streets continue to have significant accumulations.

A residential plow is being planned and a start time will be announced as soon as possible. The City is focusing on completing P1 (regional) and P2 (collector/bus routes) to ensure essential services are available.

Due to winter weather conditions, some City of Winnipeg departments are experiencing service delays and interruptions.

Winnipeg Transit is anticipating that there will continue to be some delays and service disruptions for Tuesday, December 27. We recommend that Transit users allow for extra travel time and to check their schedules at winnipegtransit.com before travelling.

Handi-Transit will resume transporting all scheduled trips starting at noon today. Clients are asked to please consider cancelling non-essential scheduled trips booked for today by calling 204-986-5711.

A Declared Snow Route Parking Ban is still in effect which prohibits parking on snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m. More information about parking bans is available at knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca.
