Homicide – C17-13701

On January 19, 2107, at approximately 11:50 p.m. Winnipeg Police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Sherbrook Street to check on the well-being of an individual at that location.

Upon entering the residence responding officers located a deceased adult male.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Pedestrian/Motor Vehicle Collision: C16-262963

Public Assistance Required

On Friday, December 16, 2016, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Winnipeg Police along with Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services responded to an injured pedestrian in the 700 block of William Avenue across from the Health Sciences Centre Emergency Entrance.

The victim was a female in her sixties. She had been attempting to cross William Avenue at the pedestrian crosswalk when she was struck and seriously injured by a sidewalk snow-removal machine which was travelling westbound on William Avenue.

The victim has since been upgraded to stable condition but remains in the hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in contacting any individuals who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators in the Central Traffic Unit at 204-986-6271.
