Drug Trafficking – Arrests: C24-82065

On April 15, as a result of a drug trafficking investigation, members of the Guns & Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the first hundred block of Amy Street and a parked vehicle nearby on Waterfront Drive.  

Two individuals began to run from the vehicle and discarded what was believed to be illicit drugs. Both were quickly taken into custody, and the following items were seized in relation to the residence and vehicle:

- approximately 650 grams of cocaine (estimated street value of $26,000)

- approximately 300 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $3,000)

- drug packaging materials

- personal identification

- $230 Canadian currency

A 46-year-old male, Jade Ronald PRETTY of Winnipeg, was charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine x 2

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

He was detained in custody.

A 40-year-old female of Winnipeg is facing similar charges for trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.

She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
