Search Warrants/Drug Offence – Arrests: C23-270475

In November of 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit initiated an investigation involving several individuals believed to be trafficking Cocaine and Methamphetamine within the city.

Investigators identified several individuals, including associated addresses and a linked vehicle.

On November 7, 2023, officers observed one of the suspects, an adult male, operating a 2006 Lexus IS 350 in the 700 block of Corydon Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted, and officers arrested the suspect without incident.

On the same date, officers executed several concurrent warrants, including two residences in the 600 block of Beaverbrook Street, a residence in the 800 block of McMillan Avenue, and the 2006 Lexus IS 350.

The search warrants resulted in the seizure of the following property:

- A Remington Model 700 Muzzleloader
- A Remington Model 700 Bolt Action Rifle

- A Sportsman RS2 Air Rifle

- A Winchester 410 370 Shotgun

- A 9mm Glock Handgun with a Loaded High Capacity Magazine

- Various Ammunition

- Over 2 Kilograms of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $203,150)

- Approximately 2.2 Kilograms of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $160,400)

- Approximately 9 Grams Psilocybin (Estimated Street Value = $90)

- Percocet pills x 14

- Scales

- Cell phones

- Money Counter

- Score Sheets

- Packaging Materials

- Over $19,000 CDN Currency

Mark Andrew THOMAS, 42, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 3

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin

Ryan Michael Paul KRAWICKI, 49, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Rene Orlando BARRIOS-LOPEZ, 45, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2

- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 7

Laura Lee STRANIERI, 43, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:

- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

All four suspects were detained in custody.

A 36-year-old female and a 29-year-old male from Winnipeg are facing a charge of Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

Both were released on Appearance Notices as mandated by the Criminal Code.
